As you walk around the place, you cannot miss the colonial but recent past evident in the place, the people, the houses and, the language. Because of the Portuguese tyrants that ruled Goa, the culture of the place is different from the rest of India. The Portuguese got along their religion to Goa and forcefully converted the Hindus and Mohammedans in the area after the abolition of temples. Since then, Goa has adopted Christianity as a religion and culture.

Proceed to “Ancestral Goa”, a re-creation of Goan rural life depicting its day to day activities in a typical village. It hosts a number of Art galleries, artifacts centers and an open air museum. Drive to Quepem to visit Palaceo do Deao which was a Mansion built by a Portuguese Nobel Man Jose Paulo in 1787. This Palatial house of 1100 sq meters in floor area has an interesting blend of Hindu and Portuguese architecture, situated on the banks of Kushavati river. Its lush and large gardens feature ponds, stone ornaments, balustrades. After a round of the house a traditional lunch is exclusively arranged and served by the owners of the house. Day - 4 : After an early breakfast,catch the morning ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, now a World Heritage site, as it makes it makes its way over gorges, waterfalls and through a maze of tunnels to finally reach a height of 7200 feet above sea level. Spend the evening strolling through the erstwhile Colonial summer Town of Ooty and take a peek into the people and commerce of this typical Indian Hill Town. Overnight at Ooty.
Day - 5 : After breakfast,drive to the historic city of Mysore, and get set for some royal indulgence at the Palace Hotel.Later visit the Bird Sanctuary, a nesting site of sixteen different species of migratory birds and home to the Indian Marsh Crocodile.Spend the afternoon with a visit to the Silk factory to catch a glimpse of the city’s Silk production of the famous Mysore Silk Saree. Overnight at Mysore.
Day - 6 : After breakfast, set out to visit the opulent Amba Vilas Palace and the extensive Farmers Market on this former Kingdom State.Overnight at Mysore.
Day - 7 : After breakfast drive north to the town of Hassan. Arrive and check in at the hotel.Later drive to the ancient Capital of the Hoysala Kings- Belur. Spend the rest of the day at the 12th century temple site of Belur where we soak in the history and breathtakingly unique architecture. Drive back to Hassan later in the evening. Overnight at Hassan.
Day - 8 : After breakfast, drive to the World Heritage site Hampi. Take a tour around the Heritage site, and dig deep into the history behind this architectural marvel of the Hoysala Kings.Overnight at Hassan.
Day - 9 : After breakfast, continue your journey back in time scouring the extensive and extremely well preserved ruins of this ancient Capital city of the powerful Hoysala Kings. Overnight at Hassan.
Day - 10 : After breakfast drive further north to the ancient Mughal City of Bijapur, believed by many to be the “Agra of the South.” Arrive and check in at the hotel.Later set out to explore the various attractions of this beautiful city. Overnight at Bijapur.
